Scientists Urged to Back Solar Initiative
SPAIN - The chairman of the 23rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference (EU PVSEC) has called on fellow scientists to back an initiative to spread the use of solar energy.research, development, cooperation and education programs.

Dr Daniel Lincot urged the delegates at the conference in Valencia, Spain, this week to add their signatures to those supporting he Valencia Call for Photovoltaics.
The worldwide initiative aims to get scientists around the world to speed up the use of solar energy through international research, development, cooperation and education programmes according to a report from the conference from Semiconductor International.
The conference heard from representatives from around the world making increasingly passionate cases for further activity and support for photovoltaic energy, the trade magazine says.
Explaining what an extremely abundant resource solar energy is, Lincot made his call for harnessing the power of photovoltaics sooner rather than later.
