Austrians to Build Biomass Power Plants in Croatia

CROATIA - Austrian alternative energy company, Kelag Wärme is to install five biomass plants and a wind park in Croatia.

The deal follows the first Croatian-Austrian business forum, held last week in Klagenfurt, Austria.

The forum heard that just one of the plants is worth €30 million, according to Emportal.

At the forum Croatian wood processing companies invited Austrian companies to make offers to build heat and electricity co-generation energy facilities from wooden pallets.

Kohlbach already has several smaller facilities and intends to install new ones. The next meeting was scheduled for mid October in Zagreb.
