Print This Page Biodiesel Plans for Tanzania
TANZANIA - UK renewable energy company Sun Biofuels has identified several ideal pieces of land in Tanzania that is has earmarked for the production of biodiesel from jatropha.The company is currently in the final stages of being granted access to a single large area of land.
Once finalised, planting on the land will begin.
According to reports from Tanzania, the parcel of land is about 8,000 hectares of which 5,500 will be planted with jatropha.
The Sun Biofuels Tanzanian said its team is continuously working to identify other possible land opportunities within the country.
First biofuels production planned for 2008/2009.
