Print This Page New Biofuels Plant coming to Baltimore
US - New Generation Biofuels Holdings Inc. has signed a deal to build its first commercial-scale biofuel manufacturing plant in Baltimore, Maryland.The Lake Mary Florida-based company expects the 25 million-gallons-per-year plant to be completed in the first quarter of 2009 and to begin production of biofuel shortly after.
"We are excited to take another step forward in developing our first commercial-scale manufacturing plant in Baltimore," said David A. Gillespie, president and CEO of New Generation Biofuels.
Chicago-based ECE Design is contracted to design the plant, and site work is expected to begin in the coming weeks.
