Biodiesel Plant for Cardiff
WALES - Flex Fuels Energy has put forward a proposal for a biodiesel processing plant in Cardiff, Wales.The US company has said it want to build an oilseed processing and biodiesel centre in the UK and has show that Cardiff is its favoured site.
Graham Hilton, non-executive director of Flex Fuels Energy, told The Western Mail: "I am pleased that the company will be able to push ahead with high quality partners in the development of the Cardiff facility.
"This project will help to underpin a truly sustainable and efficient supply chain in the south west of the UK whether the oil is used for food or fuel."
The report says a tender process is under way to build the plant after planning consent was granted for the oilseed processing plant and outline planning permission for the biodiesel plant was given on 12.1 acres near Cardiff Docks.
