Biodiesel Projects in Washington

US - US based oil giant ExxonMobil Corp is to build a $3 million biodiesel blending plant in Spokane Valley, Washington.

The company has obtained a mechanical permit for the biodiesel blending project at Spokane Valley which already houses diesel, ethanol, and gasoline storage tanks.

The project involves installing and reusing piping and equipment to blend biodiesel, including outside equipment, according to a report in Red Orbit.

In another part of Washington, Red Orbit reports that Standard Biodiesel is seeking distributors for its biodiesel blend.

The company uses waste cooking oil from restaurants in Washington and blends it into biodiesel at a plant in Coeur d'Alene.

The company produces about 20,000 gallons a month from the waste oil.
