Print This Page Plans for Ethanol Plant in Jackson
US - Following the merger of four ethanol companies to form East Coast Ethanol last year, the new company, East Coast Ethanol, has settled on Jackson County in Georgia for a new 110 million gallon a year ethanol plant.The four companies had been separately developing the plans for new plants in the South East of the US and the Jackson County plant is expected to be one of the four in planning.
Details of the plant and the development in Campbellton are expected to be announced this week, according to a report in the News Herald.
East Coast Ethanol has said it will be taking over the financing of all the projects the four companies - Atlantic Ethanol, LLC, Mid-Atlantic Ethanol, LLC, Florida Ethanol, LLC and Palmetto Agri-Fuels, LLC - had on its books at the time of the merger.
The other sites are expected to be near Seaboard North Carolina, Jesup Georgia and Chester South Carolina, the New Herald says.
