US - Plans are being put forward for a wind farm in the Fillmore Township in Michigan. The wind farm is proposed to be built near the Tulip City Airport and could have between 35 and 40 wind turbines.
The township officials said that the area was idea for a wind farm because of its proximity to Lake Michigan and open farm land and power lines.
Each turbine, which could be more than 300 feet tall, would supply 1.5 megawatts of energy. That’s enough for each one to provide power to hundreds of homes, township Clerk Ken DeWeerdt told The Sentinel .
