CAMBODIA - Korean company MH Bio-Energy has exported its first shipment of ethanol from Cambodia.
The 9,600 tonne ethanol shipment that was produced from locally grown cassava was sent to Europe from the company's production plant in Kandal province's Ponhea Loeu district.
The plant was established with a $30 million investment from the Korean company and produces about 36,000 tonnes of ethanol from the locally grown cassava.
The company has told local media groups that it plans to double its production capacity to meet global demand.
