Print This Page IndiaOil Enters Wind Business
INDIA - IndianOil, India's largest oil refining company, has eneterd into the wind power industry by commissioning its first windfarm at Kandla in Gujarat.
IndianOil has invested Rs 1.3 billion in setting up a windfarm that generates 21MW.
The electricity generated at the wind farm will be used to power teh company's fuel storage and oil pipelines in Gujarat.
The wind farm started operations a few weeks back but it will be formally put into service when company Chairman Mr. Sarthak Behuria this week.
The wind farm was built and will be maintained by Suzlon Energy.
