Farm Group Backs Biodiesel Move

AUSTRALIA - According to ABC, the Western Australian Farmers Federation says moves by Australian Renewable Fuels (ARF) to resurrect its south-west operations will boost the state's biofuel industry.

The company has announced it is negotiating to secure a multimillion dollar biodiesel contract with a WA resources company.

ARF had to close its Picton operations after the production of biodiesel became non-viable.

Federation president Mike Norton says biodiesel is an area that the farming community has a huge financial interest in.
