Renewable Energy for Farmers

UK - Thousands of farmers, landowners and others involved in the burgeoning renewable energy industry are heading for the Energy Now Expo 2010 at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern on 17 and 18 February.

Dedicated to the needs of producers, growers and landowners who want to enjoy the benefits offered by green power, the show will include a wide variety of trade exhibitions focusing on the available renewable energy technologies and the range of allied services that are available, as well as a conference agenda packed with practical tips.

In addition, a series of workshops to demonstrate how various renewable energy solutions will work on farms will be held by experts during the show.

Speakers at the conference, which will be chaired by NFU renewable energy adviser Dr Jonathan Scurlock on February 17 and the chairman of Northeast Biofuels, John Reynolds, on February 18, will include Dr Angela Karp, of the Centre for Bio-energy and Climate Change; David Collins, of the Renewable Energy Association; James Sutcliffe, Business Development Manager, The Co-operative Bank; and Oliver Harwood, renewable energy advisor at the CLA.
