Print This Page Ethanol Plant Starts up in Pennsylvania
US - Bionol Clearfield has started production at its 110 MMgy ethanol plant in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
Roger Schmidt, general manager, told Ethanol Producer Magazine that the plant was undergoing performance testing this week.
Bionol was built by Fagen Inc. with ICM Inc. technology.
The plant was virtually finished in November and started converting its first batch of corn to ethanol at the end of December last year.
The ethanol plant has an agreement with Lansing Trade Group, for its supply of corn. Currently, up to 75 percent of its corn is off trucks coming from Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.
