CANADA -Plans have been put forward for a solar power plant in Ontario.
Peterborough Utilities Inc has acquired the rights and property to build a 10MW solar farm just northwest of the city, according to a report in the Daily Commercial News.
The plan calls for solar panels on about 140 acres of land to produce enough energy to power about 1,500 homes.
British Columbia company firm, EPOD Solar Inc., will start work in the next few weeks.
