Ireland's Largest Bioenergy Event

IRELAND - Ireland’s largest outdoor bioenergy event will take place as part of ‘Farmfest’ at Teagasc Mellows Centre, Athenry next week.

The event, on Friday June 20, is being presented jointly by Coford, Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI), and Teagasc.

More than 15,000 people are expected to attend the event, which will combine indoor and outdoor bioenergy technology and products, workshops, field excursions, and practical demonstrations.

Bioenergy 2008 will showcase the use and deployment of solid biomass, and raise awareness across all sectors on the benefits of growing, harvesting, and using wood fuels and energy crops to generate heat, electricity, and fuel for homes and businesses.

The purpose of the conference is to meet the information needs of the growing market place and create a learning experience for all those interested in finding out more about using wood as a fuel for heating.

For further details on the conference, log onto: http:www.sei.ie/index.asp?locID=565&docID=19%20.
