Print This Page AP's First Ethanol Plant to be Inaugurated
INDIA - The first Indian coastal region's ethanol plant is about to inaugurated on Tuesday by Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.According to Sentini Bioproducts chairman M Gopalakrishna, the unit was a value-adding agro-processing unit to manufacture ethanol from coarse cereals and was set up in an area of 120 acres, reports Newindpress.
He said the plant adds value through agro-processing to manufacture ethanol for blending it with petrol as well as other by-products like Carbon dioxide and dry distilled grain with solubles (DDGS). It would help for the economic development of the backward upland Kanchikacharla region,Gopalakrishna added.
Company managing director Tripuraneni Sheshagiri Rao said that the company would need 300 tonnes of maize everyday.
