Print This Page Vic to Become Home to Biodiesel Plant
AUSTRALIA - The small town of Donald in central Victoria is becoming home to one of the largest biodiesel plants in the state, reports ABC.The company building the plant says that farmers will be able to invest in it, so it becomes partially owned by the community.
Farmers can also sell their crops to the operation, which expects to produce about four million litres of biodiesel a year.
"We believe that we will be able to produce high quality biodiesel that meets the Australian standards, and supply this straight out of the operation at a rate that would most definitely be at a rate below current retail rates."
